I am Mheg Garcia. My friends call me Mheg, or Grace, or Ging. I was born on June 12 some time in the 80’s. Good thing my mom didn’t name me after ‘Independence Day’ as some people would say. “I came, I saw, I conquered” as the youngest child in the family always does. Plus, I am also the only girl among my siblings, and yes, I enjoyed the advantages. I grew up in a family with high moral standards as my parents inculcated in me the values of love and sharing. And as years go by, I learned to consider these values more than any material things this world has to offer. I am just a simple person — no glorious achievements, no letters appended to my name, and no big amount of money in my bank account. But I believe that at the end of the day, what truly matters is how much you loved and how much you served.
I am a teacher, a daughter, a wife, an aspiring mother, a nature lover, a coffee addict, a friend, a lover, a good listener, a passionate learner, an idealist, and a frustrated psychologist.
I love to travel, to experience new things, and to learn about different cultures. I love good conversations and people with sensible humor. I love children, books, and feel-good movies. Most of all, I love to laugh and people who can make me laugh but I can also be serious when I need to be. I appreciate simple things in life and am extremely thankful for what I’m given.
My life has not yet turned full circle, but I’m living it everyday keeping in mind the things that matter the most and doing the best I can to make a little difference — if not in this world, at least to the people I meet along the way.
